The Vinosophers’ Hike – Wine, Hiking & Knowledge on the Philosophers’ Walk

Our new, sparkling, and truly unique tour not only takes you high up to the Philosopher's Walk, but is also witty, delicious, and deeply philosophical!

A vinosophically trained guide and a real winemaker will accompany you on this culinary hike to the “most beautiful natural balcony in Germany.” With views of the castle and the rooftops of the city, we begin with a glass of sparkling winemaker’s Secco and learn how the “bubbles” made their way into the barrels.

Wine & Hiking

It’s all about aromas and aging, finish and vistas – explained and enjoyed, an unbeatable combination.

You will encounter white and rosé wines, Hölderlin and Scheffel, and hear stories about the Oberföhring Tarantula, the Kröver Nacktarsch, and the Heidelberger Sonnenseite.

At the end, after the descent, you will feel closer than ever to Heidelberg and the castle. The final wines await you close to the Neckar River, where the Vinosophers’ Hike with guide and winemaker comes to a relaxed conclusion.
